Started with changing the roof and remodeling the main building just to make it habitable. Funds are still scarce, the option taken here is to rely strictly on a local team to do this. A bit scared though about what will happen at this fist step with the great, hard eco-principles. We will go back to Nicolas Godelet, our guiding architect, when it will come to go behind mere survival….. Happy to provide work to people who have chosen to stay in Wulong, the village of which YUANZICUN hamlet is depending.

No water, a tiny supply of electricity, no toilet, one bed for 3 to share….funny, sometimes tough, and instructive experience for urban kids. How to learn the value of things : water, energy. How to learn to get along as members of the same group coming from different horizons. We are just starting to be a family. Dad really wants it.

DONGCHUAN is a district of Kunming.  It used to be a key producer of copper in the ancient and modern times.  The altitude there varies from 1200  to 3900 meters.  The highest point is displayed on the pictures here taken at JIAOZIXUESHAN (the snow mountain of the sedan chair).  DONGCHUAN  is also famous for its   so called “red soils” with a famous scenic spot, HONGTOUDI.  The farmnhouse is close to HONGTOUDI and located at 1800 m.
